Around the World in 80 Apple Stores - A pilgrimage with my iPhone 4/4S/5/5s:
To many Apple fans, Apple Stores are much more than the great Apple products inside and their excellent services. Their beautiful architecture, stunning building technology, special locations and the surroundings are attractions in their own right. No other store or brand has the same appeal.
This App will take you to a round the world trip by visiting 80 cities with iconic Apple Stores in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Apart from Brazil, which has the first Apple Store in South America opened on 15 February 2014 and Turkey, which opened its first Apple Store on 5th April 2014, this App includes at least one store in the other 14 countries or region that currently have Apple Store.
We shall provide a guided trip, using as much public transport as possible. Where feasible, we bike and walk. The road trips will comprise journeys on super fast bullet trains, TGV, Eurostar, maglev as well as slow regional trains and night trains. We also jump onboard subways/metros, trams, buses, taxicabs and ferries. To save time, we fly on commercial airlines on longer journeys. When public transport is not a viable option, we shall rely on rental cars.
You can find the exact location of the stores with maps provided. Should you need navigation to the stores, the app will link you to the Map App of your iPad.
For those who loves armchair traveling, we have a collection of more than 2200 unique photos of the stores. You can learn more about the cities and the trips with links to external websites.
All but a few photos were taken by iPhones: 4, 4S, 5, 5s. Most stores included have special elements that make interesting photos: gems of modern architecture and stunning building technologies; best examples of heritage buildings revitalization and interesting features around the stores - sunrise and sunset scene, natural landscapes, trams, bikes, even a pair of swimming swans.
This free iPad LD version has the same UI and all information provided in the HD version, including all 2200+ photos with camera settings. But large and high resolution photos are only available in the HD version.
